Built the third version of a line following robot using five sensors and PID based code. This is the best line following robot so far as it a) travels the fastests and b) tracks the best even if the sensors go beyond the black line.

Voted “Most Interesting Engineering” at the first San Diego Robotics Club (SDRoboticsClub.com) Line Following Robot Competition in October 2012. Uses an Android smartphone as the brains and eyes (video), and an Arduino microcontroller to control the wheels and other sensors. Overkill for this competition, but will become the core of my next, larger, outdoor robot – a mailbox robot! source
