Arduino Tut#16 – DC Motor Drives, Voltage, Direction, H-Bridge, PWM

In the 16th tutorial, we are looking at DC Motors. These devices are very common in today’s world and especially robotics. The challenge lies in being able to drive them in both directions while varying the speed. Through the devices I will be demonstrating for you today, you will be able to better understand what it takes to achieve our goal and apply it in your own projects.

Relevant Tutorials:

Goals:
– To explore the challenges of driving DC motors.
– To vary the speed and direction of a DC motor from a controlling circuit.

Hardware Required:
– DC Motor (Ideally 12V)
– H-bridge driver
– Arduino
– Jumper Cables
– Breadboard

Optional Hardware:
– Voltage Driver
